New doo!

For the first time ever Roger trimmed the hair on my face. From time to time he trims my feet and back, but hasn't touched the hair on my face until now. Here's a picture of my new look, what do you think? Now the hair is out of my eyes.

Here's a video of Malcolm happy in his chair.

Meet the family... Simpsonized!

This is the family Simpsonized! I'm not so sure about my likeness though, I just look like Santa's Little Helper.

Here are some new pictures....

Crawling...

Malcolm has been crawling for over a week now. Roger was able to capture his first crawling attempts on video. The remote control does it everytime.

First trip out of town with Malcolm.

So Roger and Tracey took Malcolm to my hometown of Victoria for a mini vacation. It was Malcolm's first overnight stay since he's been born. I stayed with grandma and grandpa for the two days. They were happy to report that all went very well. The hotel provided a crib and luckily Malcolm still slept through the night without any major disruptions. They were able to visit the famous Buchart Gardens and the special Titanic exhibit at the BC Museum. Here are some pictures Roger took at the gardens.
Hey you wild boar, what are you looking at?

Huge milestone this week!

Malcolm has started crawling this week. He is pretty mobile right now, if he sees something that he wants there's pretty much nothing that will stop him trying to get to it. Among the most favorite items is the remote control, any remote control. Here's a picture of his trek across the living room floor to grab the remote.

Record breaking temperatures for Vancouver!

Well, we've finally got a bit of a reprieve on the weather. Can you believe it was 37 degrees the other day, I mean I love the summer weather but that was crazy. I guess it's even crazier to think of is that I'm covered in fur! So I'm walking around wearing my winter coat all year round. Roger thought it might be cooling to give me a bath, I'd say for the time I was in the water it was cooling, but we still had to sleep in the sweltering bedroom for three nights now. I decided that the better choice was to sleep in the bathroom where the cold floor tiles acted as my own cooling system. Let's hope the good weather continues, but the high temperatures we can do without. Malcolm now just wears his diaper to bed. Roger said that he sweat right through his shirt the other day.

Solid food....

Tracey and Roger have been feeding Malcolm solids for a little while now, and he seems to like some food over others. So far they've tried squash, sweet potatoes, yams, carrots, beans, peas, mango, apple, peaches, and I think some others I can't seem to remember right now. This is a picture with Malcolm eating pears mixed with cereal. He seemed to like it very much. He hasn't tried spinach yet, but doesn't he look like Popeye in this picture?

Malcolm is 8 months old today.

Wow, can you believe it? Malcolm is 8 months old today. He's been a part of our family for over 240 days, 5760 hours, 345600 seconds, etc... We've all been very cautious when it comes to talking about sleeping through the night, but here it is... Malcolm has been sleeping through the night for almost two weeks now. Whoo hoo! It has been such a relief that we're able to get an uninterrupted nights sleep. Let's just hope that the trend continues. Thanks Malcolm and happy 8 months.

Happy Canada Day everyone!

Today marks the 2nd year I've been with my family. Roger made me this card to mark the occasion.
Here are some more shots Roger took on our walk this morning:
