let's hope the warm weather is here to stay.

It's amazing how much Malcolm can understand. Although he cannot verbalize much of what he knows there is truly a lot he can comprehend. He can point to many things we ask, like body parts, different toys, food, and even members of the family. Roger and Tracey have taught him a number of signs now and recently he's learned, keys and hot dog which he asks for till no end. Here are some pictures from the past few weeks:

Here's happy old me.

Isn't the house pretty, all the Rodos have bloomed now.

Malcolm went to the petting zoo, he's not quite sure about the goats. One he can handle.

Here are one too many goats here.

Malcolm knows the sign for "Out" and he uses it quite often. Here's a picture of a short-lived ride on the swing.

Malcolm loved walking up and down this ramp, he must have done it a dozen times.

We went to the New Westminster Hyak parade.

Vancouver Police Department pipe band.

I was happy to go with the family to the parade.

He loves his watering can.

Here's Malcolm taking a dip in his pool to cool off.

Granville Island water park, the water was so cold.

"Hey kid, what's that thing anyway."

lots of things going on....

"This is my new hoodie, daddy bought it from the internet."

"Traditional rubber shoes from Korea, Carol's mom gave them to me as a gift."

"I can do it."

Flowers are blooming in our front yard.

This is how I sleep sometimes.

Look who came to visit our backyard garden, little Ms. Hummingbird.

"Don't talk to me, I'm concentrating."

"Hey, what happens if I turn this knob?"

Malcolm's bedtime ritual...

We've been oh so very lucky with Malcolm's sleep schedule and routine. He's been sleeping through the night from 7 months on and now if you simply mention a few magic words he initiates the whole process himself. The funny thing is that on some nights he'll just come downstairs for a few minutes and start blowing kisses as soon as he sees grandma and papa. Let's hope the sleep routine continues well into the future.

Celebrate 18months, but it's tough when the little guy is sick....

Well Malcolm has been fighting a cold for the past week. He's got a runny nose, low grade fever and cough. He's hasn't been his cheery self, but is hopefully now on the way to recovery. In addition to all that, it seems like Roger has come down with the same cold.

Some developments to note regarding Malcolm. Here's a list of all the signs he knows:

milk, more, eat, sleep, cookie, out, water, cold, bath, all done, oranges

Here's a list of all his words:

up, grandma, papa, mama, bye-bye, nite-nite, bubbles, ball, more, bubba (bottle)
