Our family photoshoot.

It's the first time the Roger and the family had their own photoshoot with another professional photographer. Who better than to take the pictures than his friend Pardeep. Pardeep is an awesome photographer and although normally known for his wedding work, he did an awesome job in capturing the family in the fall photos. Here are some from the shoot. The kids did great. untitled-3.jpg untitled-5.jpg untitled-10.jpg untitled-13.jpg untitled-12.jpg untitled-14.jpg untitled-2.jpg

Stubborn as a mule? Stubborn as a 5 year old....

When Melody sets her mind to something, there's pretty much no going back. In many ways it can be positive, but from time to time, it's not fun. She's been unbelievably stubborn ever since she was 2 and a half. When she doesn't want to do something, it's woefully clear that there's no changing her mind. This time the annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch was the victim. Luckily Malcolm, Roger and Tracey enjoyed themselves. In other news, the surgery was a total success. Also, the teeth cleaning only resulted in one extraction. All in all the recovery process has been great, bouncing back quite well. As for the growth, the Vet believes it to be some sort of Melanoma. I don't think Roger and Tracey feel like it has to get tested, especially since it's now been removed. The eyelid will take about 10 days to heal, when the sutures have to be removed. Anyway, here are some recent pictures from the Pumpkin Patch: untitled-1.jpg untitled-3.jpg untitled-4.jpg untitled-6.jpg untitled-7.jpg untitled-9.jpg Malcolm appreciated it.

Proud

So, in other news, Malcolm and Melody leveled up and got their high white belts this evening. They practised their form and broke a board to successfully pass. Tracey and Roger were very proud of their achievement. Here are some pictures.

Behind on posts.

I'm severely behind on posts this month. Past is the blood moon, thanksgiving gone like the turkey, the leaves on the trees are a changing and we all march on toward the next big semi-holiday... Halloween. Oh, I'm also going in for some minor surgery this Friday to take care of a growth that's been on my lower eyelid for over 2 years. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks it looks like it's growing in size. The vet wants to remove it, just in case it's melanoma.

Roger's Trap Shoot Shootout Fall Invitational went off without a hitch. Even though the pineapple express rain storm was scheduled to blow through the tournament was a success. Roger even ended up winning top prize. untitled-1.jpg Lots of fall photoshoots these days with the onset of Autumn. Here's a collage with Jennine and the girls. It's amazing to see how much the girls have grown. Trenholme Collage Here's thanksgiving. Oh and two amazing Northern Flickers that were perched on the garage, doing the mating dance. untitled-5.jpg untitled-1.jpg untitled-2.jpg untitled-3.jpg untitled-7.jpg untitled-8.jpg

Jumping for joy.

Well, last weekend Roger and Tracey celebrated their 10th anniversary. The commemorated the event by getting away for an overnight trip to Whistler. Can you believe it's been almost 9 years since their last trip overnight anywhere without kids! Well, despite the rain, they enjoyed themselves with a dinner out and a night away from any screaming kids. Here are some pictures from the short trip. First day of school.

Melody started grade one and Malcolm is now in grade four. It's been a long and eventful summer and Roger and Tracey are more than happy to see the kids start the school year. All in all, they've been pretty great the last two days. They even started Tae Kwon Do on Tuesday! Here are their first day of school pics. Elsa and Batman are on their way to school. untitled-4.jpg untitled-5.jpg untitled-6.jpg untitled-9.jpg

Summer is winding down.

It's sure been a long summer. We're winding down to the last week with Labour Day long weekend upon us. There are so many highlights from the summer, but one to really remember will be the hot, dry weather in Vancouver. Records were broken, water restrictions were implemented and Roger even came pretty close to buying a portable air conditioner. For Melody, she's been able to really swim, not quite yet confident to jump in the deep end and swim herself out of it, but she can seriously go underwater and propel herself a good 15 to 20 feet. Oh, and she's also mastered the backwards, underwater somersault (something her brother can't do yet). As for Malcolm, it's been a jam packed summer with camps, bike camp, camping and a couple of mini vacations to keep busy. Literally the last weekend before school starts. New backpacks are ready, school supplies and bought and all there is to do is for school to actually start on Tuesday. Here are some pictures from the past few weeks including the family's annual outing to the PNE, uncle Calvin's birthday, and our trip to the Aquarium on our last DaddyDayCare day of the summer. Now the first day of school...... untitled-1.jpg untitled-7.jpg untitled-3.jpg untitled-26.jpg untitled-21.jpg untitled-19.jpg untitled-16.jpg untitled-7.jpg untitled-5.jpg untitled-2.jpg untitled-1.jpg untitled-11.jpg untitled-7.jpg
