What a difference a year makes!

You sure can notice the passage of time when you can see all the changes that children go through. Last Christmas, when Malcolm wasn't yet two months old, Roger took a picture of him with our stuffed Santa. On Christmas Day this year he got Malcolm to pose for an updated picture. Wow! It's hard to believe that it's the same kid. Malcolm's second Christmas (and my third) was really fun. We both got a lot of nice presents and I got to sneak some turkey as usual (not to mention some sushi and some biscotti too!) We even had a white Christmas which is very unusual in Vancouver.

Malcolm is learning a lot of new things these days...he waves bye and pretends to talk on the phone and say hi. It's just a matter of time before he takes his first independent steps, too. 2008 promises to bring many more milestones for the little guy. Hope everyone has a happy new year.

Pics from this week.

Cousin Chelsea has been at the house the last few days going over Malcolm's routine. She's going to be taking care of him while Tracey and Roger are at work starting in January.

Here are some pictures from the last week, there sure has been lots going on. Tracey told me that we're going to have a party on Sunday too.

Roger's reunion of the old gang...

Roger had a chance to get together with some of his friends from the old neighbourhood. He hasn't seen most of these guys in almost 20 years. Clockwise from the bottom right are Michael, Carlos, Steve, Joe and Chris. The other picture was taken almost 24 years ago at Roger's 11th birthday party.

On the Malcolm front, he's very close to walking now and the walker that auntie Mimi bought him is certainly coming in handy. Here are some pictures from the past week. Thank you to Auntie Melissa for the cool hat and mittens.

Tracey's been in Edmonton...

It's been strange having Roger home for the last few days. He's been busy taking care of Malcolm and helping the grandparents settle into their new surroundings while Tracey's away. The family even went on a big walk today to the furniture store and the senior centre. Grandma and Grandpa are looking for a new bookcase for their living room. Roger's been busy doing the little things around the house. He's even organized the garage, installing some new shelving. Here are some pics from the last few days:

Pssst, Tracey look what happens when you're away. Roger is a silly Dad sometimes; although, Malcolm sure didn't mind.

"Look I'm almost walking aren't I?"

Okay this cleaning thing is getting out of hand now.

Grandma and Grandpa are moved in...

120 boxes, loads of furniture, misc items and they did it... they're in. Now Grandma and Grandpa will have to figure out places to put all their stuff. It has been a very busy few days. I think Malcolm has been the most well adjusted out of the whole family. Despite the snow storm we had a few days ago, the weather warmed up considerably and melted most of the snow away. Here are some pictures from the past few days at the new house:

Here's the new house under a blanket of snow:

Self portrait titled: "Where the heck am I?"

Whoa, Christmas when did that happen? Roger and Tracey put up the Christmas tree a few days ago... only 22 days till it's here.

I think Malcolm has been watching Roger and Tracey a bit too closely over the past few days. Yesterday he picked up a facecloth and started wiping his new toy (Thanks to uncle Dave for that, btw. He really loves his new toy very much)

This picture is Roger's favorite, he looks like he's a little bartender, wiping down the bar. "Whadil you have mister, how about a skim milk on the rocks?"
