The Pee Post

We went to Jericho Beach yesterday....Tracey wanted to take advantage of the warm summer evening. I was very happy to be outside near the water, but can you believe I'm not allowed on the beach? Shocking, isn't it? This is what I think of that by-law!

Back to Calgary.

Uncle Lane went back to Calgary yesterday. From what Roger told me he enjoyed his time very much. I guess what's not to like when you're flying around town in a helicopter, enjoying a cold beer on a yacht, and partaking in all the wonderful activities Vancouver has to offer.

Roger said that it's always good to get together and reminisce about old times and even better to create new memories and experiences. All the best from your friends in Vancouver and have a great year, woof, woof.

Here's a picture of Melan and Malcolm making eyes at each-other at dinner the other night. Very cute.
Here's a picture of Malcolm playing with his blocks, that's me having a nap next to him.

Uncle Lane is in town.

Uncle Lane rolled into Vancouver yesterday and was able to meet Malcolm for the first time. Roger, Tracey, Malcolm, uncle Lane and auntie Smita spent the day at the PNE today. Roger said that Malcolm was such a good boy, didn't even fuss one bit. Here are some recent pictures, including Malcolm's first ride on the Merry Go Round (I don't think he enjoyed it as much as Roger and Tracey thought he would).

Curious dog that I am.

I am a curious dog, a dog that needs to know what's going on at all times. I need to know what or who is making noise outside. I'm very curious to know who is at the door. I've even been known to try and look in the oven to see what's cooking. This is a picture of me and Tracey at Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver.

new family pics with Malcolm.

Roger, Tracey and Malcolm got to go out with Harry, Annis and Gomo this evening for dinner. Again, I wasn't able to go. Too bad dogs aren't allowed to go to restaurants. Anyway, here are some pics from this evening.

Roger is back...

Roger got back from Toronto on Tuesday night. He was able to catch an earlier flight, too bad that his plane was stuck on the tarmac at Pearson. I was certainly happy to see him. I'm sure that Tracey and Malcolm were happy too. Here are some pictures of downtown Toronto.

Look here's a picture of Malcolm happy to see his dad too.

Malcolm is 9 months old today!

We've certainly had some milestones this month. Now Malcolm can crawl, eat semi-solid foods, stand up with assistance, climb up the stairs, and most importantly sleep through the night. The last one is most important cause it allows Tracey, Roger and me to get some rest. We wonder what the next month will bring. Here's the updates montage:

Return of the Jedi.

Roger thinks with my new haircut that I look like biker scout from Return of the Jedi. I think he's crazy, cause afterall I am a dog not an imperial soldier stuck on Endor with the Ewoks.

Malcolm has caught his first cold. We've had some runny nose action, fever and some cranky periods, but it looks like things are on the upswing. He's finally feeling a bit better indicated by the return of his appetite and screechy dimeanour. Here are some more pics from this week:

New doo!

For the first time ever Roger trimmed the hair on my face. From time to time he trims my feet and back, but hasn't touched the hair on my face until now. Here's a picture of my new look, what do you think? Now the hair is out of my eyes.

Here's a video of Malcolm happy in his chair.

Meet the family... Simpsonized!

This is the family Simpsonized! I'm not so sure about my likeness though, I just look like Santa's Little Helper.

Crawling...

Malcolm has been crawling for over a week now. Roger was able to capture his first crawling attempts on video. The remote control does it everytime.

First trip out of town with Malcolm.

So Roger and Tracey took Malcolm to my hometown of Victoria for a mini vacation. It was Malcolm's first overnight stay since he's been born. I stayed with grandma and grandpa for the two days. They were happy to report that all went very well. The hotel provided a crib and luckily Malcolm still slept through the night without any major disruptions. They were able to visit the famous Buchart Gardens and the special Titanic exhibit at the BC Museum. Here are some pictures Roger took at the gardens.
Hey you wild boar, what are you looking at?

Huge milestone this week!

Malcolm has started crawling this week. He is pretty mobile right now, if he sees something that he wants there's pretty much nothing that will stop him trying to get to it. Among the most favorite items is the remote control, any remote control. Here's a picture of his trek across the living room floor to grab the remote.

Record breaking temperatures for Vancouver!

Well, we've finally got a bit of a reprieve on the weather. Can you believe it was 37 degrees the other day, I mean I love the summer weather but that was crazy. I guess it's even crazier to think of is that I'm covered in fur! So I'm walking around wearing my winter coat all year round. Roger thought it might be cooling to give me a bath, I'd say for the time I was in the water it was cooling, but we still had to sleep in the sweltering bedroom for three nights now. I decided that the better choice was to sleep in the bathroom where the cold floor tiles acted as my own cooling system. Let's hope the good weather continues, but the high temperatures we can do without. Malcolm now just wears his diaper to bed. Roger said that he sweat right through his shirt the other day.

Solid food....

Tracey and Roger have been feeding Malcolm solids for a little while now, and he seems to like some food over others. So far they've tried squash, sweet potatoes, yams, carrots, beans, peas, mango, apple, peaches, and I think some others I can't seem to remember right now. This is a picture with Malcolm eating pears mixed with cereal. He seemed to like it very much. He hasn't tried spinach yet, but doesn't he look like Popeye in this picture?

Malcolm is 8 months old today.

Wow, can you believe it? Malcolm is 8 months old today. He's been a part of our family for over 240 days, 5760 hours, 345600 seconds, etc... We've all been very cautious when it comes to talking about sleeping through the night, but here it is... Malcolm has been sleeping through the night for almost two weeks now. Whoo hoo! It has been such a relief that we're able to get an uninterrupted nights sleep. Let's just hope that the trend continues. Thanks Malcolm and happy 8 months.
