Spring Break 2015

I'm severely behind on posting. So many things happening in the past few weeks.

Sunday was even my birthday, 10 years old! Hard to believe that it's been 10 years since I began living with Roger and Tracey. I've seen people born and also witnessed people pass, I guess that's what happens during a long span of time. Most notably, I've seen the kids grow. Malcolm and Melody becoming part of our family has been most eventful occurrence in my lifetime. As I reflect back on the past ten years, I've enjoyed a very good life. Roger and Tracey have been very kind to me. Also, with Grandma home most days, there's very little time I spend alone. It was somewhat of a rocky start way back when in 2005, with Cleo and my seasickness on the ferry. Suffice to say, there's still a lot of spring in my step and no slowing down in my near future.

The family just got back from a little trip down south to Seattle. They spent the first three days at the Great Wolf Lodge and the last day in Bellevue. A bunch of different families spending some time together. Here are some pics from the past few weeks. untitled-13.jpg untitled-20.jpg untitled-11.jpg untitled-5.jpg untitled-7.jpg untitled-16.jpg untitled-14.jpg untitled-32.jpg untitled-33.jpg untitled-34.jpg Here are a few film shots Roger took a couple months back. 20150221-Roger1968_13.jpg 20150221-Roger1967_3.jpg Auntie Shannon's 40th Epic Birthday Party: untitled-6.jpg untitled-26.jpg Edana's Birthday Party at the Quay (Vancouver Circus School): untitled-22.jpg untitled-46.jpg untitled-74.jpg

The holiday season.

Well the holiday season is upon us, from the full squares on the calendar things are booking up quickly. From the sound of things, the ugly Christmas sweater party was a big hit, with delicious food, great company and some really amazing sweaters. A lot of effort was shown by many of the party participants. Lisa and Steve took first prize. It's been pretty hectic around the house with the tree, lights and anticipation slowly rising. Malcolm especially loves it all. Hopefully, it won't be a repeat of last year with "Orange Box Gate". In fact, he has been a lot better lately. Despite their unbridled excitement, we just all hope they understand the meaning behind it all. The importance of family and giving. I think Roger and Tracey really try hard in instilling important core values. Next on the list are more parties, the Christmas Train and the imminent arrival of St. Nick. For everyone who follows this blog, friends, family and strangers alike, happy holidays from our family to yours. We wish you the very best from the bottom of our hearts. Dinner Club

It's been a while. We've been super busy. November is definitely non-stop with both kid's birthdays, parties to plan and Christmas just a little more than a month away the social calendar is filling up. Roger has been busy making arrangements for Help-Portrait on the 30th as well. Hard to believe that it's already the 5th year in operation. Roger has been appointed the photography lead so he's responsible for more of the planning. He's also got a few photoshoots sprinkled in between. Suffice to say it's a busy time of year. This year's BCCH event was a roaring success too. So many smiling faces and happy parents. The dinner club had a chance to resurrect their night out, this time around Tracey found an awesome deal called the Endless Meal. Kristen prepared a fantastic meal for the group with many delectable dishes. The week before that, it was Auntie Sue's birthday at Zefferelli's. That's two nights that Roger and Tracey have been able to go out without worrying about the kids. Happy Birthday Malcolm .

Our boy turned 6 years old on Monday. Time sure does go by fast. It doesn't seem that long ago he was in diapers. He's now a first grader and well on his way. From what I've witnessed he sure is a special boy. Things that I noticed from the very start are still very apparent today. He's got an impeccable memory. He really does love to laugh. He likes new experiences and travelling. Also, deep down inside he does really likes to take it all in and savour traditions, he's a lot like his mom that way. Anyway, happy birthday to our boy, you sure have come a long way. We all love you lots. He sure was surprised and happy! Just look at that face.

Halloween 2012

Roger, Tracey and the kids had a wonderful time at Auntie Deana's birthday party over the weekend. There were games, treats, dancing and costumes galore. I think Malcolm really enjoyed himself indulging in all that candy. We're all hoping for some dry weather on Wednesday, trick or treating won't be the same if the rains come. The house is all ready and decorated for the big event. Hopefully there will be a lot of kids.

Here are some shots from the party:
